Pros: Ultra-compact, 8 megapixels, fast, stylish, user friendly, 3.0" LCD screen, and Optical Image Stabilization
Cons: Auto exposure only, no optical viewfinder, and red-eye issues
Canon's ultra-compact digicams have consistently been among the most successful competitors in the hi-tech marketplace because they (almost) always deliver impressive usability, class champ performance, and very good image quality - all stuffed into a ...
Pros: Compact, fantastic resolution and picture quality, great video quality, huge LCD screen Cons: A little tough to navigate through menus, no case included
Preface Wow. Can you believe it. Today marks my 7 year anniversary on the site. SEVEN YEARS! I suppose its fitting that this is my 77th review then. =) With this anniversary I wanted to do a superb review. I wanted to do one above and beyond any ...
Pros: Compact size, wide-angle lens, huge LCD screen Cons: Poor performance at high ISO settings, fixed focus & zoom in video mode.
Introduction and Rationale for Purchase Like two of the other reviewers of this item, I own D-SLR equipment that I use heavily for professional and personal photography. I purchased the SD870 IS for my wife. She had grown tired of trying ...
Pros: Face detection, image stabilization, good videos and photos with tweaking, great screen and battery life. Cons: Limited control, poor high ISO performance, soft optics, size, weak flash, poor flash positioning.
The previous reviewer pretty much touched on all of the bases so all I can do here is confirm what he said and add some personal opinions. I have a Canon 1Ds Mark II with lots of L glass so I will not even begin to compare the quality of images taken ...
Pros: Good camera for family and kids shots. 10 shot self timer. Cons: no autoexposure bracketing. case scratches too easily
So now I own 2 Canon digital cameras. After owning digital cameras from Sony(3), Panasonic(3), and Nikon(2), I'd have to say that I am very impressed overall with the SD850 IS as a point and shoot camera. I usually start reviews with problem areas, ...
Pros: Fast, No lag, Images are clear and stable, good face detection Cons: Controls arent great, not a light and slim camera
Before all is said I am an avid canon fan and will continue to use canon probably for the rest of my life. This is my second one (SD800). I prefer the clarity over all other company’s such as kodak, nikon, sony, olympus, and panasonic. It is a bit ...
Pros: compact design, style, image stabilization, ease of use, face detection, value for money. Cons: none that really stand out.
I purchased this camera about a month ago and I have to say that this has been one of the best point and shoot ultra compact cameras that I have seen on the market recently. This camera is very easy to use. All the controls are very intuitive and ...
Pros: Stylish and compact
3.o inch LCD screen
Cons: I cannot think of many except for maybe the strength of the outer casing.
This was the first digital camera i have purchased and i must say i should have done it a long time ago, the LCD screen is very clear and crisp, the size is incredible and the pictures i have taken have widely impressed my family and friends. One ...
Pros: Compact size, large viewing screen, fast startup, easy navigation, picture quality (at times, battery life Cons: Fuzzy pictures, frequent manipulation of settings required, auto setting and face-detection not recommended by Canon
First off, I am not a professional photographer, but rather a casual user of digital cameras. I have previously owned a Kodak Easyshare, and have decided to step up in quality. To cut right to the chase, here are some issues I have had with this camera ...
Pros: Image stabilization, wide angle lens, HUGE 3in screen to view photos, good zoom Cons: could be slightly smaller
I am a real estate agent that lists bank owned properties for banks and I just recently purchased this camera. I was so impressed with it within 2 days I bought 3 more of the same camera so everyone on my team could have one! The wide angle lens is ...
Pros: Beautiful images, tons of pre-set settings, can manually set all settings, IMAGE STABILIZATION Cons: A little thicker than I would like, but it takes great pictures, so oh well.
I have bought Cannon cameras all my life. With that said, this is the best point-and-shoot camera that I have ever used. Although I am a Canon fan, I have sold cameras at a nationally recognized electronics store for years. I have never seen a small ...
Pros: Small, Compact, great photos, Optical zoom makes it better Cons: Zoom is short.
The Canon Power shot is a great camera. I have used one for 2 or so years and i love it. The small compact design makes it easy to carry and transport. It takes great photos and even has a very descent video camera. It is a great camera for vacations ...
Pros: great video capability; very portable and handy. Cons: Red-eye in photos.
While I am in love with my digital SLR, this is a great backup camera. I carry it all the time because it is small. The photos I've taken with it are quite good, I think--much better than I expected from a point-and-shoot--and I like many of the ...
Pros: Good Price. Durable. Cons: I don't think there is any.
I love this camera. I think it takes excellent pictures. I have not seen a better more reliable camera then this one. I have had a lot of cameras before and I believe I would choose Canon over most anything else. I would spend more money to get a cannon then I would anything else just because it is more reliable and durable. I had a young child over and he got a hold of my camera and threw it on the ground hard. I was mad because it spent a lot of money.
I found out that it still worked and had no marks on it. I was so happy.
Compact, stylish, powerful camera by wendywowie ,Jan 16 '08
Pros: picture quality, usability of interface, stylish Cons: none
I recently purchased this camera for my boyfriend. I was looking for an easy-to-use camera that could also shoot videos. We've been really pleased so far with the quality of the photos and videos, as well as how easy it is to access the various modes.
